Jerry Braam

Braam, a 38-year-old respiratory practitioner, seriously injured his spine in an accident 10 years ago. That was the beginning of the decline of his physical health. In his practice, he found himself advising his patients on health, but neglecting his own. Nearing 40 and feeling out of shape, Braam knew he wanted and needed to accept the Body-for-LIFEŽ Challenge. He had to take his advice to heart. Today, he is breathing easier as he improved his resting heart rate (from 90 to 60), decreased his body fat percentage from 30.6 percent to 9.9 percent and gained half of an inch in height from his improved posture. Jerry not only has a new, healthier physique, but also a whole new outlook on life. "I face each day with anticipation, and the body I see in my mirror tells me I will succeed, even when others think things 'can only get worse.' Now that I am centered, I am able to give freely and it is an incredible feeling."
