Cardio Conditioning

There are two basic types of Cardio Training - Continuous Pace and Interval Training. For the majority of novice exercises we recommend beginning with Continuous Pace Training. Upon obtaining an improved fitness level, Interval Training can be introduced.

In our fitness programs we dictate the type of cardio training, however, we encourage the participants to add variety into their workouts, so switch it up and throw in a different cardio workout.
Continuous Pace
Continuous pace exercise is the training of an activity for a constant intensity.
The following image is an example of a 20 minute continuous pace training period.

Interval Training

Interval training is the alternation of high-intensity exercise with periods of low-intensity activity.
The following image is an example of a 20-Minute Interval Training exercise with 4 intensity peaks.
