Components of the
Workout Session
There are 4 basic components to an exercise session. These components must be performed in the following order:
 
Warm-Up
Conditioning
Cool-Down
Stretching
 Warm-Up -
Prior to conditioning, you need to warm up your muscles and raise your heart rate.
Conditioning -
Conditioning your body is accomplished through cardiovascular and muscular fitness.
Cool-Down -
After conditioning, your body's heart rate and blood circulation need to be brought back to a point near its resting state.
Stretching -
After the cool down, stretching provides flexibility to joints and their associated muscles.
