Frequency
The amount of time between each of your workout sessions depends on your fitness goals, the intensity of your workout, your current fitness level, and the commitments or demands in your life.
 
Allowing Your Body To Recover and Rebuild
Exercise is important; however' there becomes a point where over exercising will cause more damage than good.
While exercising, you cause micro tears in your muscle. You need to give your muscle 48 hours to rebuild itself before you work that particular muscle again.
  For example:
  If you work your chest muscles on Monday, you need to wait until Wednesday until working your chest again.
   
  A short cardio exercise period can be performed every day, but it would be best to wait 48 hours to rest your body.
